The sanctum is closed between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM. On Brahmotsavam and other major festival days the temple remains open through the afternoon.

Best Time to Visit

Early morning, between 6:30 AM and 9:00 AM, is the quietest time for darshan. Saturdays, Ekadasi days and festival evenings are the busiest. The pleasant season for travel is October to February.

Kodakanchi lies in Jinnaram Mandal, Sangareddy District — about 8 km from the Sultanpur exit of the Outer Ring Road.

The map is centred on the village. Please confirm the exact approach road with the temple office before travelling for the first time.

Route

Directions from Hyderabad

About 40 km by road — roughly an hour from the western suburbs. The easiest approach is by the Outer Ring Road.

  1. Join the Outer Ring Road Take the ORR westward and continue to Sultanpur, Exit 4.
  2. Leave the ORR at Exit 4 Kodakanchi village lies about 8 km from the Sultanpur exit.
  3. Or approach via Patancheru Coming along NH-65 (the Mumbai Highway), Kodakanchi is roughly 10 km from Patancheru.
  4. Enter Jinnaram Mandal Follow the district road into Kodakanchi village and the local signage for the Adinarayana Swamy Devalayam.
  5. Arrive at the temple The gopuram stands above the village on its granite hill and is visible from the approach road. Ample parking is available.

Travel Information

By road, rail or air — the ways devotees reach Kodakanchi.

By Bus

Buses run frequently from Hyderabad to Patancheru, about 10 km away, with local services and shared autos on to Kodakanchi. During the Brahmotsavam the trust arranges special bus services from Patancheru.

By Train

The nearest major railheads are Secunderabad and Lingampally. Taxis and buses are available from both stations towards Sangareddy.

By Air

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, is the nearest airport (about 95 km). Pre-paid taxis and app cabs are available at the terminal.

By Car

The route from Hyderabad is entirely on tarred highway and district roads, comfortable for all vehicles. App cabs generally accept one-way trips to Sangareddy.

Where to Stay

Sangareddy town has budget and mid-range lodges roughly 25 minutes away. Most devotees visit Kodakanchi as a day trip from Hyderabad.

Food & Prasadam

Prasadam is distributed after the deeparadhana, and annadanam is served on festival days. Vegetarian restaurants are available in Sangareddy.

Parking Information

  • Cars Open parking ground beside the temple approach road, free of charge.
  • Two-wheelers Separate marked area near the entrance gate.
  • Buses Group vehicles park on the outer road; please inform the temple office in advance.
  • Accessibility Drop-off is permitted at the entrance for elderly and differently-abled devotees.
  • Festival days Parking fills early and traffic is diverted; arrive before 4:00 PM.

Footwear stand & cloakroom

Free footwear stand at the entrance. Bags and mobile phones may be left at the counter before entering the sanctum.

Drinking water & rest area

Drinking water and a shaded seating area are available in the outer prakaram for waiting devotees.

Sanitation

Separate toilet blocks for men and women are located near the parking ground.

Seva & donation counter

The temple office issues receipts for all sevas and donations. Bookings for Kalyanotsavam and Abhishekam are taken here.

Assistance for elders

Volunteers assist senior citizens and differently-abled devotees during festival crowds. Please ask at the entrance.
