About These Photographs
The year albums follow the temple through its recent festivals — the Brahmotsavam procession carried through the village, the jathara that fills the hillock with devotees, and the temple koneru at its stepped ghats. They come from the temple office and from devotees who sent in their own photographs.
The archive album holds undated views of the kshetram itself: the entrance gopuram with the tiered stucco figures upon it, the inner gopuram seen across the stone-paved courtyard, the painted vimanam rising out of the granite hillock, the stepped pushkarini, and the panel of Sridevi Bhudevi sameta Sri Adinarayana Swamy above the entrance. No capture date was recorded with them, so rather than guess a year the trust keeps them together in the archive.
